In the historic center of Cali is located one of the most beautiful theaters in the city , the municipal theater formerly Enrique Buenaventura Municipal theater Cali , this theater was declared a national monument in 1982 . Since its creation was intended as a space for artistic performances of different types , here are the best shows shown as plays , musical comedy, concerts and stand up comedy.

This preserves the original theater curtain was brought from Rome, brought from Austria seats and curtains of Paris . The paintings inside the theater made by the Bogota Mauricio Andreani and Ramelli , are what make this a magical place. The theater has a capacity of 1039 people divided into different locations such as window, first and second stage , amphitheater and gallery.

I had never had the opportunity to go to the theater to see a play. This experience seemed wonderful , I think it is an opportunity to transport your mind to other places and times , lets you evoke feelings with each act of the play , even we can go back actors in the play to feel identified with the characters in these tables . The most important thing in theater is the interaction between the actors and the public , as the public is showing their satisfaction with the work and the level of connection with it, this is evident when the audience laughs or in those moments where until you cry , this is the motivation that makes the actor continue doing his character .

But most important is that the theater is an opportunity to break the routine . It is a place to go with family and friends to have a good time and enjoy a show that is very mentioned in my city.

I am 18 years old and I am studying industrial engineering at the Icesi University in Cali, Colombia. I was born in Cali on March 21 of 1995, but all my life I lived in Tulua, so I know little of the city. My experience with theater is actually very little, because this activity is not promoted in Tulua or Cali, but through this project I realized that activity is a very cool and I really like a lot. I highly recommend the theaters in Cali because it is a supremely interesting activity and you can spend a very nice time. Also, you can learn a bit about our culture, because most of the functions performed Colombian customs and interpret our reality.
