Bellas Artes Theater

In Centenario neighborhood in the west of the city is located bellas artes institud, is a public university founded in 1933. They offer programs for professional training of artists, such as Music Performance , Graphic Design, Fine Arts and Bachelor of
Arts, and it is the last one which gives meaning to our blog, because we see the last weekend in college theater the work of the students throughout the semester

Every Saturday the institution presents plays that have prepared students from the faculty of performing arts throughout the semester or previous semesters , in an space called "Sabados a la valenciana" which takes place in Julio Valencia room at 6:30 pm. This theater is small, and has a capacity of approximately 150 people.

To get to Bellas Artes Institute using public transportation, you should come to Versalles station and then take the A05 route that leaves you in front of the university; the recommendation is to arrive around 6 pm because the functions are free and size of the theater is so limited , many people will see these functions and latecomers were left out . We arrived at 5:30 pm and we could see how slowly people were arriving to enjoy good theater.

We had the opportunity to see the play "La chica de los libros usados" which tells the dramatic life a girl who used to sell used books,  all the time she was making comparisons between how living things happened in his life and as often happens in the books . Actually we found an excellent work, which despite being dramatic it had comedy moments . We found the quality of the actors very good even though they are still students, they all did awesome roles and they evoked all those emotions and feelings that his character was feeling .

So you're cordially invited to "Sabados a la valenciana" in Bellas Artes institute, a free space where you can go to enjoy good art , a little out of the routine and also allows us to do an activity that many people do not usually do, see theater, an art that displays preset in shades of tragedy or comedy elements that characterized the everyday. The theater can express through the interpretation of true or fictional stories: emotions, fears , feelings , doubts and through them to appeal to a public that feels more or less close to these realities and can identify with them .

The address is Av 2N arts # 7N -28 , close to Centerario shopping mall. The institution publishes monthly programming, which shows the work and plays they will perform. Below is the month of March.
